Manages the operating budget for the Non-Appropriated Funds for the 673d/773d Force Support Squadrons. Checks the accuracy and adequacy of budget justification data submitted in support of budget estimates and validates with source documents. Prepares reports for managers, processes temporary duty (TDY) orders and monitors proper obligation of funds. Verifies, enters and adjusts budgetary data in a variety of forms, schedules & reports. Provides advice, assistance, and guidance to activity managers in the development, preparation, and review of non-appropriated fund (NAF) budgets, income and expense budgets, and cash flow budgets. Conducts analyses, reviews, and special studies of the accounting procedures, NAF budget processes, and internal controls. Performs a full range of accounting duties using double entry accrual accounting methods for the preparation of profit and loss statements, financial statements and miscellaneous financial reporting data. Performs analysis of resale inventory submissions to eliminate variances in cost of goods sold. Responsible for the installation management of the Private Organization (PO) records. Keeps a file on each PO and performs annual reviews at the close of the PO's fiscal year to ensure financial statements, documents, records, and procedures outlined in Air Force Instruction (AFI) 34-223 are followed. Reviews all PO fundraiser requests for proper documentation. Determines proper routing of documentation through Public Health and Legal Office; performs follow up for all PO fundraiser requests for proper approval. Serves as a liaison to Air Force Services Activity (AFSVA) San Antonio for resolution of accounting errors.

Qualifying Experience:
Knowledge of commonly used budgetary methods, computer programs, practices, procedures, regulations, policies and processes to formulate, justify, and execution of budgets is preferred. Knowledge of computer operations and the skills to input and retrieve computer produced financial management products is preferred. The ability to gather, assemble and analyze financial data for information using accounting reports, payroll records, work reports, or inventory and supply data is preferred. Skill in compiling and composing both quantitative and narrative financial reports based on financial analyses of data and circumstances with effective communication skills sufficient to prepare oral and written correspondence is preferred. Ability to perform work independently with little supervision. Ability to provide guidance and training as needed on documentation for private organizations. Must satisfactorily complete a tier one national background check.
