Duties

Help

The Deputy Human Resources Officer assists the CHRO in serving as a strategic partner to senior managers and overseeing the development and coordination of human capital programs.

In this position you will: 

  • Provide senior level leadership, technical expertise, policy and program development, management, and oversight to human capital management.
  • Apply Merit Promotion and Delegated Examining regulations and guidance.
  • Apply procedures, evaluate processes, act as a troubleshooter and recommend changes for National Finance Center (NFC) and other systems.
  • Implement development programs to grow associates at all levels of the organization.
  • Perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  To qualify for this position, you must possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 or comparable pay band/equivalent. For this position, specialized experience is defined as experience directing and managing a variety of federal human resources operations for a federal organization, which has specifically included administering or managing at least three of the following HR programs: (1) Workforce Analysis and Planning, (2) Succession Planning and Competency Management, (3) Recruiting and Staffing, (4) Policy Development, (5) Benefits and Processing.

  • Human Resources Management – Knowledge and skill in federal human resources functions
  • Supervision and Management – Ability to supervise staff and advise others on same
