Duties

Help
  • Supports activities and services of the athletics and intramural sports program. Provides oversight of events and tournaments. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures. Provides outstanding customer service with an emphasis on courtesy.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of athletic facilities. Monitors condition of, cleans, and performs minor maintenance on athletics equipment. Reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage
  • Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards.
  • Assists in setting up for special events and sports tournaments. Assistants with publicity of events and tournaments and with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers, and other promotional material.
  • Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must obtain and maintain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45 pounds independently.
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects over 45 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be able to endure physical demands beyond normal requirements including prolonged standing and walking.
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position.
2. Must be able to obtain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED.

HIGHLY PREFERRED:

1. One year of full-time work experience in the sports and fitness industry.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
