Duties

Help

Provides administrative, clerical, and logistical support to the Marketing Division.  Assists with coordination of promotional materials, maintains files and databases, and assists with community outreach and branding efforts across MCCS programs and services.  Operates a personal computer (PC) and peripheral equipment to produce a variety of civilian and military correspondence, spreadsheets, charts, reports and graphs, using a wide variety of software programs.    

Screens incoming telephone calls, creates and manages correspondence, schedules and tracks appointments, and maintains departmental calendars and files.  Tracks and processes work orders and project requests using MCCS approved tracking systems.  Assists in preparation and distribution of promotional materials including flyers, banners, brochures, and digital assets across MCCS facilities.  

Maintains office supply inventory and orders materials needed to support marketing activities.  Assists with purchases and procurement related to large-scale events such as air shows. Provides logistical support for MCCS events, campaigns and special initiatives under the direction of the Marketing Director or designee.  Processes invoices, purchase requests, and supply requisitions in accordance with MCCS procurement policies.  

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly.  Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.  Adheres to safety regulations and standards.  Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.  Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

EVALUATIONS:

Qualifications

Minimum six months of general office or clerical experience.   Working knowledge of a personal computer and peripheral equipment with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Effective written and verbal communication skills.  Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Basic knowledge of Canva design tool required.  Ability to learn MCCS-specific systems and procedures.  Occasional evening and weekend work will be required to support marketing campaigns and events.  This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.

Basic understanding of marketing, social media platforms, and digital content tools preferred.
