Duties

Help

The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of manual tasks in food preparation and food service areas such as preparing vegetables, salads, desserts and other food items. Basic responsibilities include securing and washing food, peeling, mashing or delivering food to the kitchen for cooking; slicing meats, preparing sandwiches and salads; measuring and mixing ingredients. Follows recipes as directed. Cleans, scrubs, wipes or washes service equipment such as work tables or refrigerators. Separates food waste and trash. Ensures food is transported using sanitary containers and kept at appropriate temperatures

  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and /or complete food handler's training.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Qualifying Experience:
This is an entry level position and no minimum qualifications are required for this position however experience in food service and food preparation is desired.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

  • $1,200.00- $1500.00 incentive bonus to a new employee (with 12-18 month continued service agreement)
