Duties

Help
  • Follows established procedures in operating a full-service bar, mixing and serving a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Records sales, makes change or prepares charge slips. Receives and checks quantity and description of stock.
  • Stocks bar, utensils, equipment and keeps work area clean and sanitary. Keeps record of quantities of beverages dispensed and submits requirement for re-stocking to supervisor.
  • Uses tact and courtesy to deny further sales to persons whose conduct has become unruly or who appear to be intoxicated.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position to include a physical.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Must be 18 years of age by date of appointment to meet state age requirements for position.
  • Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.
  • Uniforms and name tags are provided and required.
  • Seven-day operation and shift will primarily be evenings and weekends. Shift may vary due to mission. Nights, weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications

Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in your resume.

  • Must meet state local age requirements for the serving of alcohol at the time of appointment.
  • Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.
  • Possess math skills necessary to calculate bills and take inventory.
  • Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages is required.
  • Ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff.

  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.

  • Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
