Duties

Help

Provides day-to-day guidance to employees for work assignments. Gets work started, and sets the work pace. Demonstrates work methods and provides work-related guidance. Ensures that worksite materials and tools are available and ensures that employees follow security, safety and housekeeping rules. Sells posted menu items, daily specials and a limited variety of prepared foods. Operates cash register, rings up sales, receives payments and tenders change. Clears cash register and collects receipt and supporting documents at the end of each shift. Prepares cashier's report and makes deposits. Maintains clean and orderly facility. May unload food from deliver trucks. Collects and transfers trash from work area to disposal area. Performs daily, weekly and monthly cleansing as scheduled. Receives and inspects orders. Stores food IAW standard procedures. Perform inventories and ordering, restocks racks and coolers with food and beverage items. Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • Incumbent must be able to lift or move objects weighing up to 40lbs.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.

Qualifying Experience:
Ability to lead three or more workers to accomplish food service duties

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
