Duties

Help

Operates cash registers and computerized point of sale system and reservation software program; accepting cash, checks and credit cards for merchandise and services. Responsible for change fund, cashier ticket inventory and daily receipts. Balances cash reports and prepares bank deposits. Accepts reservations for shows and takes registration and money for tours. Stocks brochure racks and keeps storage room organized. Answers telephones. Gives written and verbal information to customers. Assist with verifying weekly and monthly inventories. Creates and updates vouchers. Receives tickets on computerized tracking systems. Performs a variety of office duties to include route and file correspondence. Works on a computer daily. Assists in various activities and events sponsored by the Community Support Flight.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:

General office skills to include typing and filing is preferred. Must have knowledge of cash register, cash handling procedures, bank deposits, and simple cashier reports. Knowledge of computers is very helpful. Knowledge of the Las Vegas area and knowledge of showroom and Services activities. Prior customer service experience is required.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
