Help
  • Develops integrated information requirements, configurations, policies, procedures, plans and programs to support Joint Staff requirements.
  • Develops budget strategies, program planning, technology infusion, milestone review preparation, and requirement allocation and configuration management.
  • Provides advanced technical support and guidance to staff in matters relating to IT issues that involve a wide range of IT management that typically extend and apply to an entire organization or major components of an organization.
  • Prepares, submits, and defends requirements, as required, for necessary manpower, budget, training, and logistical support for the agency consistent with DISA programs, objectives, and goals.
  • Performs a full range of supervisory functions, directing and accomplishing personnel administration functions.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

Basic Requirements:
Attention to Detail - Experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been responsible for reviewing the work of others to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards.
Customer Service - Developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs.
Oral Communication - Briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
Problem Solving - Identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues. I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions.

Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.

For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience with multifunctional IT development projects, procedure and policy development, system analysis and resource management.

Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.

Education

There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experienceat the GG-14 grade level.

  • If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment.
  • This appointment does not confer eligibility to be non-competitively converted to an appointment in the competitive service.
  • A three year trial period may be required if you have not previously completed a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service.
  • This position is subject to completion of 1 year probationary period for assignment to a supervisory position.
  • Telework availability will be based upon the mission requirements and supervisory determination.
  • Individuals tentatively selected for drug testing designated positions at the Defense Information Systems Agency will be required to submit to urinalysis for illegal drugs prior to appointment or placement.
