As a Supervisory Intelligence Operations Specialist, GS-0132-12, you will plan, organize, and direct the activities of the assigned technicians, ensuring that the advice and assistance provided complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Exercise supervisory personnel management. Coordinate with a variety of counterparts and higher-level officials in the gaining command and in a large segment of the defense sector of the intelligence community. Responsible to train assigned military unit members in the duties and functions associated with intelligence Tasking, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TPED). Provides real-time intelligence TPED support to National Agencies, Joint Commands, Air Force Major Commands (MAJCOMs), Air Operations Centers (AOCs), and US and coalition airborne assets in exercise and contingency operations. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • Must be able to obtain and/or maintain TS/SCI clearance and CI Polygraph.

  • Positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver’s license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
  • Military skill set is determined by AFSC requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC.
  • Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
  • This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

Qualifications

Military Grades: E-7 (MSgt) through E-8 (SMSgt)

Compatible Military Assignments (AFSC's): 1N4, 1N0, 1N292

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1 year experience at the next lower grade of GS-11, or 36 months specialized experience, education or training developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations. Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required the applicant to deal effectively with others; experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
