As Senior Examiner you will promote ongoing risk-based planning, supervisory and examination activities of System institutions to evaluate safety and soundness and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and other regulatory guidance. Specific duties include:
- Coordinating with other OE divisions and other Agency offices (e.g., Office of Information Technology) to address needed examination tools and applications.
- Promoting implementation of risk-based examination concepts and the effective use of technology to provide for an efficient and effective examination program.
- Contributing to training and development programs to build needed examination skills in OE.
- As directed, participating in examinations and supporting other examiners to maintain current skills and meet the needs of the OE.
The activities will be carried out in an effective and risk-based manner and will require the use of a high level of technical expertise, sound judgment, exceptional project management skills, and strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills to deal with challenging situations.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the VH-40 (GS-14) band level if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the VH-39 (GS-13) band level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position including conducting examinations and leading or supervising projects while providing oversight and evaluating activities to ensure they are executed in accordance with approved plans.

- Experience with various technical platforms including SharePoint, Power BI, and web-based applications.

- Locality pay is added to base salary using on the following duty station locality rates: Bloomington, MN, 26.89%; Irving, TX, 26.87%; McLean, VA, 32.99%; Greenwood Village, CO, 29.55%; Sacramento, CA, 28.80%, and the Rest of the United States, 17.06%. Locality rates are subject to change.
