Duties

Help
  • Promotes and coordinates a maximum participation recreation program on a year round basis to support eligible personnel. Develops programs which will meet participant interests and needs of team and individual activities.
  • Identifies facilities, personnel and supplies required to support each program. Promotes, organizes and directs intramural and all-star sports programs to coincide with scheduled higher level tournaments for the same sport.
  • Prepares budgets. Recommends new programs that are cost effective and assures that program emphasis is on those activities most appropriate to the interests of the population served.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • This position may require a health screening. Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.
  • Will be required to travel in and around Poland 30-50% of the time.
  • Must possess a valid US Driver's license with the ability to obtain and maintain a valid US Army Europe (USAREUR) Certificate of license. License must be obtained within 30 days of arrival on site.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain an Official No-fee Passport.
  • Privately-owned vehicles (POV) must be registered in Poland. You will be required to register on the Polish economy and obtain insurance. Some insurance companies may not provide coverage for Poland.

Qualifications


1. One (1) year of work experience directing one or more recreation programs. This experience must have provided the knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups.
2. Possess a bachelor's degree in the program area managed OR experience that provided a knowledge of the goals, principles, methods and techniques of recreation and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups

Best Qualified Criteria:
1. Possess three (3) years of experience with standard NAF Management Information Systems (e.g., RecTrac, GPC, SNACS, FMBS, SMIRF, etc.).
2. One (1) year or more of directly related work experience that provided the applicant the ability, knowledge and skills to plan, organize, coordinate, execute, supervise and evaluate a recreational, sports and/or fitness program(s).
3. One (1) year or more work experience with Non-appropriated fund (NAF) annual operating budgets, financial statements, internal controls, Capital Purchase and Minor Construction (CPMC) budget, and NAF Major Construction (NAFMC) program.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest.

Pay-Band Allowances and Differential
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. Sunday premium may be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Night differential may be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will be paid.
Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Allowances, differentials, or incentives will be paid. These allowances may include Living Quarters Allowance (LQA), Temporary Quarters Subsistence Allowance (TQSA) and requires a Transportation Agreement in accordance (IAW) the provisions of the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR).
  • Post allowance may be paid in accordance with the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR), contingent upon eligibility.
