Position to be filled at NH-4, Pay Lane 3. Salary range reflects General Schedule Rest of U.S. pay. Locality pay will be determined upon selection.

Duties

Help
  • Assessing and evaluating contractor activities and systems that impact the technical performance of DoD and many civilian agency contracts.
  • Applies extensive knowledge and insight into contractor's processes to assess and forecast performance against contractor requirements.
  • Continuously improve the agency's implementation of International Agreements between the United States and Foreign Governments for the mutual exchange of contract management services.
  • Supervises team members with diverse functional and technical expertise.
  • Provides expert policy guidance on all aspects of the contractor product assurance and quality assurance management processes and their impact on the DoD acquisition process to Directorate senior leadership.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position. To qualify for the NH-04 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-03 or GS-13 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.
Creditable specialized experience includes:

  • Developing policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness to determine the best practices for assessing and evaluating contractor activities and systems.
  • Assessing the impact of Contract Management Quality Assurance processes.
  • Directing in-depth work review and analysis.
  • Ensuring effective OCONUS execution of the Host Nation CAS strategy to make efficient and effective use of the International Agreements with the Host Nations.
  • Influencing improvement of risk-based Government Quality Assurance (GQA) concepts, polices, and processes.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
