Summary

About the Position:
The Automated Systems Branch is responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering a wide range of computer-aided engineering initiatives, which support the military construction (MC) planning and programming process. This position provides assistance to the Project Manager who has responsibilities for generating various military construction budget books for the Army.

Duties

Help
  • Obtains, analyzes, and defines user/customer requirements through hotline calls, e-mail, or from Proponent or Process Manager communications.
  • Develops formal training materials for field user.
  • Configures and sets up classroom computer systems. Provides formal classroom training to user/customers.
  • Performs functions associated with the production of the Congressional Budget Request Books for MC programs.
  • Assist in developing software application budgets and related information.
  • Maintains contract file system from development, pre-award, post-award, and termination or closure.
  • Maintains files of all surveillance, correspondence, sample determinations, and other pertinent contract data.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes obtains, analyzes, and defines user/customer requirements through hotline calls, e-mail, or from Proponent or Process Manager communications; assists in developing software application budgets and related information; develops complete contract packages that supports the operation, maintenance, and enhancement to military construction planning and programming software applications; maintains contract file system from development, pre-award, post-award, and termination or closure; provides assistance to users for military construction planning and programming processes; provides information on planning and programming for military construction to stakeholders.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
