Duties

Help
  • You will serve as a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and is responsible for defining project requirements and developing a Statement of Work or specifications.
  • You will manage environmental compliance facilities and programs for Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH).
  • You will provide environmental compliance program management related to tanks management, storm water management, and spill avoidance and response.
  • You will monitor the contractor’s progress and expenditures; perform inspections; resolve technical issues; and assist in contract closeout.
  • You will represent MCBH at conferences, seminars, and meetings at higher headquarters and other installations and businesses and organizations outside Department of Defense (DoD).

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty stations. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Managing environmental compliance facilities and programs, defining project requirements, performing inspections, and participating in the evaluation of technical proposals.

Education


In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

  • I have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR
  • I have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree OR

  • I have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.

Additional information

A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time.

Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.

A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
