Summary

This is a NAF position with the 17th Force Support Squadron, located at NAF Marketing office on Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas.

This position is considered Regular Part-Time (RPT). You are guaranteed 20 hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours/week. You may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. As a RPT employee, you are eligible to earn annual/sick leave and sign up for benefits, to include Health/Dental and Life Insurance, 401k and NAF Retirement.

Help

  • This position supports the Force Support Squadron (FSS) marketing and publicity program and assists in collecting and compiling information as well as writing and producing a variety of publicity/marketing materials.

  • Distributes and retrieves printed materials regarding FSS programs and activities both on and off base, to include arranging bulletin boards, displays and exhibits throughout bases facilities.

  • Assists with data entry, such as inputting actual surveys and/or collating results, and research, as well as, updating and maintaining electronic marketing vehicles such as the FSS website, Facebook, texting, digital signage and any other social media methods.

  • Photograph and/or record FSS activities for use in advertising media, for historical reference and/or publicity continuity files.

  • Performs a variety of general office duties such as receiving telephone calls and visitors, as well as routing and filing correspondence.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have responsible experience in responsible office/clerical work. Knowledge of basic computer operations and the ability to run color copy machines and laser printers as well as laminating, cutting and folding machines desired. Experience in performing research, selecting, arranging, and composing material is desired. Must possess skill in dealing with customers and public. Experience with marketing, advertising or publicity departments is desirable. Must have ability to read, write and speak English. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier-1 background investigation.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
