Duties

Help
  • Coordinate and implement high-volume marketing campaigns from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Assist in the development of marketing strategies and plans, particularly for social media.
  • Write, create, manage and implement social media campaigns to promote MWR programs, services and events across multiple platforms in order to build awareness of MWR and our offerings and to build followers.
  • Assist in designing flyers, posters, social media graphics and more utilizing Canva, Adobe Express, Illustrator or Photoshop
  • Monitor and make changes, updates and additions to our WSMR MWR website utilizing a basic content management system.

Qualifications

Practical knowledge of website maintenance and 1-3 years experience in marketing.

Must possess organizational skills and be able to work quickly in a web-based environment.

Must be able to work independently and in a team environment under pressure to meet project deadlines and specific tasks.

Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe CS4 (Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign) is preferred as well as specialized education obtained in course work related to marketing, interactive communications or another related field.

Best qualified:
- At least two years of creating and managing social media campaigns across multiple platforms.
- At least two years of experience in digital media content writing and creating marketing and/or advertising campaigns.
- Experience with Canva or Adobe Express or Illustrator and some design experience.
- Certificates, certifications or Associate's degree in marketing, digital marketing, design, copywriting or related field.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
