Duties

Help
  • You will function as the Flight Test Assistant for the Current Fleet Operations Unit lead providing technical, budgetary, contractual guidance and program oversight in the accomplishment of the above duties.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating and managing all operational aspects of the testing and analysis program to include scheduling, planning, and budgeting for missile test flights.
  • You will plan meetings for scheduling fleet operational units to conduct flight tests, Mini-DASO (Demonstration and Shakedown Operations), and SWS (Strategic Weapons System) modernization periods.
  • You will serve as the primary interface with operational forces during both development and post development testing in an operational environment for tests.
  • You will be responsible for the developing and executing the operational test plan IAW the Test and Evaluation Strategy (TES) or Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) and ensures the integrity of tests conducted by the operators.
  • You will plan, coordinate, execute and conduct of the flight test portion of the D5LE2 Demonstration and Shakedown Operations (DASO) program for SSBNs.
  • You will maintain close technical coordination with SSP Technical Branches, contractors and agencies to ensure that analysis and flight-testing documentation programs satisfy overall technical, range safety, and operational objectives.
  • You will survey and reappraise testing philosophies including instrumentation, procedures, test frequency and flight trajectories so that analysis programs are carried out in the most cost effective manner.

Qualifications

For the NH-03: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical, budgetary, contractual guidance and program oversight; assigning broad functional areas, prioritizing work, obtaining and allocating resources; developing and executing the operational test plan IAW the Test and Evaluation Strategy (TES) or Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), and ensuring the integrity of tests conducted by the operators.

For the NH-02: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-01 (GS-04 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting with technical, budgetary, contractual guidance and program oversight; assisting with the development or execution of operational test plans.
