Duties

Help

  • Oversees all aspects of the Auto Hobby Shop (AHS) and Arts and Crafts (A&C) operation, to include, but not limited to, the repair bays, car wash, tool crib, POV Sales Lot, Ministry of Transport (MOT) testing program, concessionaire contracts, engraving, ceramics, framing, applicable resale operations and a variety of classes and other crafts and hobbies.
  • Develops budgets, tracks expenses, maintains resale inventory, performs detailed analysis of operating statements, and accomplishes short and long range strategic planning.
  • Provides guidance to A&C staff on the use of equipment like: framing, engraving, sublimating, ceramics, sewing, etc. Inspects completed work quality and quantity to ensure a high standard of output and productivity.
  • Ensures compliance with all environmental and safety procedures and policies. Manages the facility hazardous waste management program. Serves as the AHS's primary representative for self-inspection, MICT, Safety, HAZCOM, and ESOMIS.
  • Applies effective communication skills to establish, develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with business and industry representatives, unit leadership, co-workers, team members, and internal and external customers.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience (MUST BE SUPPORTED IN YOUR RESUME):
Must have experience performing the following duties: Managing a business activity, to include planning activities, supervising and training employees, formulating budgets, maintaining inventory, supplies, and retail items, marketing events, and providing excellent customer service, with spacific experience overseeing an AH type activity and/or experience in the operation of an A&C type activity with similar operations and functions to above and directing the work of others to ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.

Education
