***THIS IS A TITLE 32 NATIONAL GUARD POSITION THAT REQUIRES MILITARY MEMBERSHIP***

This position is located in the Military Personnel Office (MILPO) of the Army National Guard (ARNG). Serves as the Mobilization/Deployment Specialist for the Installation. Work is to be performed in the areas of Mobilization Readiness including Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) and Soldier Readiness Checks (SRC). Incumbent provides oversight, planning, interpretation and application of policy. Also provides final review and validation of products for presentation through chain of command. Coordinates and synchronizes SRPs and SRCs in concert with other G Staff elements.

1. Develops, coordinates, and distributes guidelines for formalizing and structuring Soldier Readiness Processing and Soldier Readiness Checks at all levels, to include company, battalion, and brigade levels. Provides guidance and assistance to subordinate units in Mobilization Planning Data Viewer (MPDV) coordination and synchronization with deploying units, medical detachments, Office of the State Surgeon, G3, G4, and other State agencies and programs.

2. Coordinates with the mobilizing unit chain of command, intermediate commands, SRP site proponent, JFHQ, Mobilization Station LNO, and various State agencies and organizations to insure that procedures meet office needs and are consistently understood and followed. Establishes and continually reviews, updates and develops complex administrative procedures that affect the orderly and efficient flow of work within the SRP and overall HR portion of the mobilization of the unit.

3. Assists and advises action officers on all procedural and administrative aspects of staff actions. Under the direction of the supervisor and knowledge of functional assignment and areas of expertise, assigns actions, with annotation on any applicable background material, to the appropriate office within the directorate.

4. Maintains Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) master calendars and related appointment/meeting schedules. Coordinates and arranges various meetings and conference events.

Military Grades: E1 - E7

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

GS-07 - Applicants must have experience, education or training in any position that required compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Applicants must have progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience interpreting regulations, policies or law and providing guidance.

GS-09 - 1 year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants must have experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures.
