As a AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR, GS-1101-11, you will be responsible for the total squadron maintenance program, manages the overall direction of the maintenance effort, and enforces safe maintenance practices; participates in establishing the monthly and weekly maintenance plans; control and coordinate maintenance activity on the flightline; coordinate with supervisors to select workers and assign tasks to be performed.initiate action to resolve personnel shortages and coordinates requirements with the Maintenance Operations Center (MOC); understand, execute, and coordinate specific disaster control duties including the provisions contained Air Force instructions, with regard to movement of aircraft, support equipment, and evacuation of flightline personnel.

  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.

  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

Qualifications

Military Grades: Enlisted (E7/MSgt and below)

Minimum Requirements: Administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform the duties of the position. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience, education or training program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the business or industry position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations.


Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements.
