Duties

Help

As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-09, you will review and evaluate all operations, deployment, contingency and exercise plans to ensure mission readiness for the Logistics Readiness Squadron. Compile and update status of Logistics Readiness Squadron, to include tracking and reporting of personnel, training, equipment and supplies. Coordinate, develop, and administer management training programs for supervisory personnel. Develop local training programs to accommodate supply procedural changes, and coordinate changes to other career field areas as directed, to improve operational effectiveness when management indicators reflect potential trouble areas. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate to perform temporary duty assignments.
  • Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
  • This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field; experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 24 months experience or 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level which involved detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities); experience planning and organizing work assignments. Must have experience with the Air Force Unit Training Manager program. Must have experience with tracking and reporting of Logistics Readiness personnel, training, and equipment. Must have experience managing deployment, contingency and exercise plans.
