Duties

Help
  • Is responsible for overall management and direction of the DMWR Business Division activities (Clubs, Food and Beverage, Entertainment, Bowling, Golf, Public-Private Venture, contracted business operations, etc.)
  • Implements, enforces, and ensures compliance with regulations to provide aggressive community business program which meets the needs and interests of the military community.
  • Provides policies and guidance. Directs, develops and administers plans and procedures. Provides sound leadership and supervision to ensure attainment of the established objectives of the division.
  • Reviews program objectives and priorities, and develops five-year plan with Capitol Purchase Minor Construction (CPMC) and Annual Operating Budgets covering projected programs of division resources.
  • Develops and/or recommends methods, operations, and programs to ensure profitable business activities income.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must obtain (within 6 months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) (i.e., ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Program).
  • Required to file a Confidential Statement of Affiliations and Financial Interest in accordance with requirements of DODD 5500.7 Joint Ethics Regulation.
  • Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

Demonstrated work experience in the following areas:

  1. Work experience directing/managing one or more DMWR Business Operations activities for a garrison, or similar civilian operation, for at least one (1) year.

HIGHLY PREFERRED are applicants who possess the minimum qualifications above AND:
  • Must have worked for a Garrison at the NF-04 or NF-05 level for at least 3 years within the most recent 5 years.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Rectrac or similar POS system, FMBS or similar online financial budgeting system, US Bank or similar online credit card purchasing system, BlueForce/Epay or similar TLMS.

PCS Costs:
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest.

Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials:

  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.

Incentives and bonuses:

  • Incentives will not be paid.

Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances and Differentials:

  • Overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
