As a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST - TITLE 32, GS-0080-9, you will manage and administer the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) program. Advise the MAJCOM SF IDS program manager of any base or site activities that will impact the Integrated Base Defense Security Systems (IBDSS) program. Report and document IDS maintenance requirements to the servicing maintenance organization. Monitor IDS false and nuisance alarms and request assistance from the maintenance organization to resolve problems. Maintain Technical Orders and manuals that describe equipment components and operating procedures for IDS. Develop local training for system operators. Responsible for the management and administration of the physical access control systems. Manage entry control point (ECP) related applications associated with DBIDS and the Security Forces Information Management System (SFMIS). Manage the functional and operational sustainment of all data processing programs. Produce and maintain reports for command echelon personnel. Provide feedback on base access vulnerabilities with recommendations for their mitigation. Review operational status of sensor subsystems. Research, interpret, and analyze guidelines to ensure work complies with legal and regulatory requirements. Perform administrative office support functions. Develop, coordinate, and publish SF installation level publications and plans. Perform installation security duties. Establish requirements for police services, physical security, and Anti-Terrorism programs. Manage police services. Develop and write SF policies and procedures. Manage installation entry control, visitor center operations, and special functions/events. Administer and manage Resource Protection and Crime Prevention programs. Manage Security Forces Management Information System (SFMIS). Perform and enforce SF duties within the military installation. Apprehend and detain violators of laws, rules, and regulations and turn them over to the Federal or civil police or other law enforcement officers for arrest and posting of collateral. Perform other duties as assigned.

Must not have any disciplinary action (Article 15 or Court-Martial) for engaging in an unprofessional or inappropriate relationship as defined in applicable DoD Instructions concerning Army and Air Force Professional and Unprofessional Relationships.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
Must have successful completion of the Air Force Technical Training AFSC/Security Forces School for AFSC: 3P0 (must be a minimum skill level of 5).
Must have experience in a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems. Ability to develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods. Experience in information, personnel, and physical security to effectively implement, integrate and administer applicable security programs and/or coordinate with other specialized security programs.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 24 months experience advising supervisor of activities that may impact the security system program. Experience monitoring alarms, completing reports and documenting the Intrusion Detection System program maintenance requirements. Experience in the functional and operational sustainment of data processing programs (such as Integrated Base Defense Security Systems and Security Forces Information Management System) or other systems installed and/or programmed for the entry control points. Experience assisting in the development of local training for system operators. Experience managing and administering the physical access control systems. Experience providing feedback to supervisor regarding base access vulnerabilities with recommendations for mitigations. Experience researching, interpreting, and/or analyzing guidelines to ensure work complies with legal and regulatory requirements. Experience developing localized Security Forces policies and procedures and performing administrative office support functions. Experience working installation entry controls, visitor center operations, and special functions/events. Experience performing and enforcing Security Forces duties.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
