The tour of duty for this position is: Tuesday thru Saturday - 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

This is an Essential-Employee Position. The employee will be required to report to work during emergencies AND inclement weather situations.

Work schedule will require some occasionally mandatory overtime on holidays AND weekends.

This announcement will be used to fill night shift positions only in the Senate Office Buildings.

Responsibilities:

Performs a wide range of custodial duties in areas such as buildings, conference rooms, hallways, restrooms and restaurant facilities.

Performs duties such as sweeping, mopping and waxing floors; washes walls and windows, dusts and performs other cleaning duties.

Cleans offices, meeting chambers and recreational facilities.

Dusts desks, furniture and other equipment. Cleans and mops lavatories and locker rooms and replaces soap or towels.

Empties wastebaskets and collect and dispose of refuse.

Assists with the setup of facilities for meetings, conferences, events, etc. by moving and arranging chairs, tables and other furniture or equipment and Unload, move supplies.

Uses and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools such as vacuums, brooms, buffers, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, and furniture.

Collects and sort recyclable material, including aluminum cans, plastic, and glass bottles and newspaper.

Cleans, disinfects, and deodorizes lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls. Replaces supplies as required.

Keeps a stock of cleaning materials, restroom supplies, and equipment needed and inform supervisor when more materials are needed and when equipment is in need of repair.

Performs other duties as assigned.
