Incumbent's work involves installing, modifying, repairing, and maintaining all of the medical center's plumbing and plumbing-related devices.
Incumbent installs all types of plumbing fixtures, soft water systems, dietetic equipment, dental equipment, laboratory equipment, vacuum lines, nitrous oxide, air, gas, piped oxygen, sterilizers, hot water heaters, hot water systems, hydrants, storm drainage, sanitary drainage, chilled water piping systems, and other other plumbing-related equipment.
Incumbent troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs all or part of the above-listed systems, also assisting the pipefitter in repairs of steam-piping, traps, steam-operated equipment, and some installation work.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7 AM-3:30 PM

Physical Requirements: Work is frequently performed from tiring and uncomfortable positions requiring stooping, stretching, bending and kneeling; working from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms in hard-to-reach places; and may also require heavy lifting and working in areas where space is very limited and temperatures are extremely hot.
Working Conditions: Work is frequently performed in damp places where water, mud, or bad-smelling fumes are present and extreme temperatures may prevail. The work is sometimes performed outside in bad weather and the worker may be exposed to scrapes, burns, cuts, and infections.
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
