This position is located in Phoenix, Arizona with the USPFO. Its purpose is to oversee one or more product lines, a segment of a large warehouse, or serve as the senior employee in a smaller warehouse or supply facility.

  • ARIZONA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Army National Guard, in a military organization supported by the USPFO.
  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • Incumbent must possess and maintain a current state driver’s license.
  • Obtain and maintain a NIPR access account for email and work related tasks.
  • Obtain and maintain a favorable background check by the Personal Security Office to obtain an ISM-CIF account and GCSS Army Account.
  • Demonstrate familiarity of Logistical Operations with experience or education.
  • Recruitment, Relocation, or Retention Incentive may be offered and is subject to availability of funds.

Qualifications

Military Grades: PV2/E2 - SPC/CPL/E4

Compatible Military Assignments: Possess or able to obtain a 92 Series MOS

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 9 months experience or training in receiving, packaging, and preparation for shipment. Experience in compiling reports, overall warehouse planning, documentation requirements, and accepted warehousing methods, procedures, and techniques. Experience in setting up and rotating storage locations considering factors such as life expectancy, available space, product turnover, etc.

Education

You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics):

1. Knowledge to perform a full range of warehousing activities to include receiving, storing, selecting and shipping bulk and bin materials and equipment.

2. Ability to coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments and placement of materials within docking area.

3. Skill in preparing inventory and production reports, screens and identifies shipping and receiving documents for discrepancies, and directs shipments to shipping or storage areas.

4. Knowledge to identify, examine, classify, accept and dispose of a wide variety of materials and property including electronic equipment, aircraft and automotive components and assemblies.

5. Ability to assist in the development of plans for storage and arrangement of stock to determine warehouse configuration, setup, movement, rearrangement and traffic flow.
