Duties

Help

Sets up and coordinates schedules and facility for competitive bowling league events, tournaments, and special events. Arranges necessary publicity. Establishes and maintains current schedule of events, maintains and posts team standings. Corresponds with bowling leagues to ensure activities are in compliance with ABC/WIBC rules. Prepares cash drawers for shift cashiers. Makes change for cashiers and rings out registers. Prepares cashier report daily. Keeps daily accounting records of bowling facilities monies. Performs courier duties to bank. Maintains logs, prepares Time and Attendance cards. Assists in inventories of Pro-shop and snack bar. Assists in placing orders with civilian businesses for necessary equipment and supplies. Provides on-shift coordination of bowling program activities and to perform complex clerical and administrative tasks for the bowling facility. Works under the supervision of the Bowling Facility Manager who makes assignments, approves leave, and rates performance. Within guidelines provided by the supervisor, exercises initiative and independent action in the conduct of the facility activities. Complies with regulations. Support position management. May be required to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays. May be required to sell alcoholic beverages upon request from customer. Performs other duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Typing skills and basic bookkeeping/accounting skills desired. Must have knowledge and experience with bowling league organization, i.e., skill and knowledge to assist league secretaries in setting up leagues and in running bowling tournaments. Experience which demonstrated ability to operate a cash register, control panel, public address (PA) system and adding machine.

Must be at least 21 years old in order to sell alcohol. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
