Duties

Help

Implements marketing initiatives for the 673 & 773 Force Support Squadron (FSS), under the direction of the Marketing Director, is at the forefront of driving visual communication efforts that shape the FSS brand. Utilizes creative expertise that will bring to life marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and digital content that captivate and engage audiences. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, ensures all designs are aligned with FSS objectives and brand standards, while delivering high quality, impactful graphics for a variety of platforms. Contributions support FSS initiatives and also elevate the squadron's presence and messaging across diverse media, including print, digital, and interactive formats. Major Duties:- Design and produce branded marketing materials, including posters, brochures, flyers, digital ads, among others.- Develop engaging multimedia content for social media, websites, and other platforms.- Use Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office to create high-quality designs.- Ensure brand consistency and accuracy across all visual and written materials.- Manage the design, layout, and timely production of the monthly FSS magazine.- Apply design principles, including style, typography, hierarchy, and pacing, to all media formats.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver marketing campaigns and promotional materials.- Conduct market research to enhance marketing strategies and improve customer engagement.- Write and edit copy for clarity and effective communication.- Assist with web management, email marketing, social media campaigns, and print production as needed.- Driving between facilities located on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson is required to perform duties.- Perform other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field, or at least 3 years of relevant experience. Must demonstrate proficiency in designing advertisements and marketing materials for events and programs using design and publishing software such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar. Must possess intermediate-level computer skills, including but not limited to Internet navigation, databases, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools. Must be able to design and lay out advertisement copy using the listed software. Must be highly organized, creative, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks within deadlines. Must produce error-free copywriting with attention to grammatical accuracy. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Must excel in customer service and be adept at collaborating with internal customers. A strong, results-driven portfolio showcasing graphic design expertise is required. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be physically able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier I background investigation. Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug test. "This is a drug testing designated position. Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
