Duties

Help

Responsible for all program service operations.

Assists in the training of new library aides and technicians on programing tasks.

Independently performs programing duties by implementing established procedures for programs and services incorporating a variety of educational and recreational activities to stimulate and sustain the social, cognitive, physical, and emotional growth of youth, young adults and adult patrons.

Actively seeks out grant and sponsorship opportunities and partners with community members to enhance and sustain programming. Assists in the recruiting and coordination of a volunteer force for large events.

Coordinates with Library director in the development and implementation of marketing and publicity of library services and events and prepares appropriate displays.

Based on patron needs, facility constraints, and available resources, recommends modifications of program operations, goals, philosophy, hours and days of operation, procedures, and policies.

Maintains continuous oversight of all program operations and activities to ensure they comply with DoD, Air Force, and local policies, guidelines, and standards and are appropriate and effective.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have specialized experience in a library, educational, or other setting that provided specific knowledge of developing and implementing programming that educates, stimulates, and enhances quality of life.

Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must have experience or training that demonstrates the ability to perform standard computer skills. Must possess skill in dealing with the public.

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
