THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULICS SYSTEMS MECHANIC (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1367000 and is part of the NC ANG, National Guard (145 MXS/ Position Number 107165634).
The area of consideration for this position is CAT 1 (Areas 1-4) (Air). Applications will only be accepted from current military members of the North Carolina Air National Guard, OR members of either the Air Force Reserve, active duty Air Force, or another state's Air National Guard, who are willing and eligible to join the North Carolina Air National Guard.
As an AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC, WG-8268-10, you will perform maintenance and operational and functional checks on assigned pneudraulic systems; perform installation, modification, and/or repair of aircraft pneudraulic systems; perform organizational and field level maintenance to include periodic, phase time, calendar, unscheduled, and special inspection; prepare for and participate in various types of readiness evaluations such as ORI, IG and UE inspections, mobility, and command support exercises.

This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

Qualifications
Military Grades: Enlisted (E6 and below)
Minimum Requirements: Experience or training which demonstrates your knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems; and ability to use technical manuals, equipment specifications, and test calibration procedures in performing the work.
Specialized Experience: (18 months) Experience or training which provided a knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles. Experience in fabricating fuel, oil and vacuum hose lines. Experience in servicing, maintaining, disassembling assembling, repairing and testing hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience in diagnosing malfunctions and overhauling pneudraulic accessories by disassembling, cleaning part and examining parts. Experience in diagnosing trouble and determining remedies. Experience in repairing, rebuilding and overhauling major systems of ground equipment and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Experience in mechanicl repairs using hand tools and test equipment. Experience that demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications and publications.
