Leadership duties to include:
Minimum two years working experience that demonstrates knowledge in two areas (Carpentry, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical or Painting). Knowledge in the applicable combination of trades sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
Must have skill in the safe use of a variety of basic hand tools, portable power tools and use of small construction equipment (scaffolding, tractors, trucks, etc.).
Knowledge of safety and environmental rules and regulations concerning procedures, tools, mechanical and electrified equipment, commonly used chemicals and basic safe work practices.
Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly and effectively to changing program needs and regulations.
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written skills to be able to evaluate and provide reports on work in progress.
Moderate physical effort is required in the frequent handling of objects weighing up to 20 pounds and the occasional handling of objects weighing over 45 pounds unassisted, heavier items are lifted with assistance. Requirements for standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Works in stretched, cramped and awkward positions. Considerable standing while working on ladders or scaffolds, concrete floors, and climbing stairways. Frequently subjected to sudden temperature changes when working with freezer units.This position does not have a positive education requirement.
