The License Practical Nurse (LPN) in this position is responsible and accountable for providing nursing care to individual and groups of patients for an aging, adult population. Incumbent demonstrates good clinical practice skills, problem-solving skills and decision-making skills and also provides a wide range of clinical and technical services to the Veteran under general supervision of the Registered Nurse/Nurse Manager with Patient Care Services (PCS).

Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or [accredited by] the National League for Nursing [Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)] at the time the program was completed by the applicant. Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) Authorized: This position is eligible for EDRP, a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of your start date. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
