The Public Information Office serves as a contact for the press and public and as a liaison between the press and all other offices at the Court. The office issues the opinions and orders of the Court and operates a working pressroom provided for use by a resident press corps and visiting journalists. The office also provides logistical support for filming and photography projects in the building.
Interns with the Public Information Office assist with responding to public inquiries in person, on the telephone, and in writing; the assembly of the Court's orders and opinions for release to the public and to the press; monitoring news clips; press seating for Court sessions as needed; correspondence; conducting background research for public and press inquiries and briefings; assembling materials provided to press and the public; other projects as assigned; and providing general support to the office.
At least two semesters of undergraduate study are required.
Internship Program participants are eligible for the SmartBenefits transit subsidy. Please note that the Court does not offer a parking benefit.
