Incumbent provides support to the Chief of Staff in a variety of areas related to office management, business process coordination, data collection, analysis, and reporting. Services reporting to the Chief of Staff include: Anatomic Pathology, Anesthesiology, Ambulatory Care, Clinical Informatics, Clinical Command Center, Community Living Center, Dental Service, Dermatology, Education Office, Geriatrics and Extended Care, Integrative
Health, Lab Medicine, Medical Service, Mental Health Service, Neurology-Physical Rehabilitation, Nutrition & Food, Pharmacy, Primary Care, Quality Safety and Value Associate Chief of Staff, Rehabilitation & Prosthetics, Radiology, Research & Development, Surgery, Telehealth, and Women's Veteran Program. The Chief of Staff is also responsible for overseeing the Deputy Chief of Staff and the clinical services that report to the Deputy. The
incumbent performs duties directly contributing to the administrative management of an integrated health care delivery system that require the ability to apply the specialized principles and practices of health care management. Provides full staff assistance on administrative matters affecting the healthcare delivery system. Serves as a staff member directly supporting executive leadership responsible for planning, organization, development, direction, and evaluation of healthcare system operations. Performance is characterized by the ability to initiate and manage projects in programmatic areas and lead interdisciplinary groups of staff that result in significant and sustained contributions to the success of the healthcare system.
Implements long and short-term plans, policies, and procedures, assuring that programs are
integrated in order to support operational efficiencies and strategic priorities.
