Assists the Outdoor Recreation Director with planning supervising, and directing the operation of All Paws Osan Pet Care including grooming, kennel, and retail sales. Provides operational guidance for programs, personnel and facilities associated with animal boarding services. Plans, organizes and coordinates programs with marketing and publicity department to promote monthly, quarterly and annual events as well as special programs. Works with the manager to implement higher level directives, makes recommendations for improvements; gathers, monitors, and maintains data for finances and customer usage to complete reports to squadron, base, and MAJCOM. Assists the manager with maintaining supply and resale inventories; places orders for needed items through local and stateside vendors. Ensures internal controls are present to minimize the potential for fraud, waste, and abuse. Assists the manager with timekeeping and managing staff work schedules. Responsible for daily office work including: facility
income reports, monetary deposits, and work order requests. Monitors the health and well-being of the animals entrusted in the facility's care; informs owner(s) of changes in health including illness and death. Works closely with base and local veterinarians to ensure health and sanitation standards are met and practiced by all employees. Assists with the coordination of programs with other Services facilities. Ensures current information is available for newly arrived personnel and stateside customers via sponsor packages and briefings. Receives and resolves customers' complaints, responds to requests for special services and inquiries. Exercises supervisory responsibility through effective communications or performance expectations, appraisals, disciplinary actions and adhering to personnel and EEO laws and regulations. Trains new employees, coordinates monthly staff meetings and safety trainings. Maintains effective employee work schedules. Performs other duties as assigned
