This Lead Investigative Protection Officer position starts at $101,401.00 (GS-12, Step-1), with potential to $131,826.00 (GS-12, Step-10). The selectee will serve as Lead Investigative Protection Officer in the Office of Protective Operations, Vice Presidential Protective Division. Typical work assignments include:

To qualify for the grade GS-12 level you must possess one year of specialized experience at the grade GS-11 level performing duties such as: providing guidance and direction to team members; assigning and monitoring work performance; implementing protective instructions and procedures; planning logistics for protective services and transportation; covering a designated security post; preparing reports and presentations to senior level management on protective services and investigation activities; and, providing technical advice and guidance regarding protection and law enforcement operations.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Time-in-Grade Requirement: Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service on a non-temporary appointment. Applicants must provide a copy of their SF-50 (Notification of Personnel Action), that should include their position, title, series, grade, step, tenure (1 or 2), and type of service (Competitive or Excepted).
