This announcement is open to current permanent competitive service Department of Defense (DoD) employees. Veterans eligibilities include Veterans Employment Opportunities Act (VEOA). Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
This is a permanent GS-12 position. Upon deployment overseas, the employee will be temporarily promoted to the GS-13 grade level, if eligible, for the duration of the deployment. Upon return to CONUS the employee will be changed to lower grade to the permanent grade level.
If you do not meet the Time in Grade or Specialized experience for the temporary promotion, you will deploy at the lower grade level, GS-12.
Once the four year commitment is successfully met you will be placed into a non-deployable position in the CMO for which you were hired at the permanent GS-12 grade level.
You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
