About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Resource Management Flight. Under the general direction of the Resource Management Flight Chief (RMFC), serves as the focal point for all 45th Force Support Squadron (FSS) property management, ensuring property control and disposal processes are consistent with AFI/AFMAN and local guidance. Provides logistic guidance, training and assistance for activities receiving APF, NAF and DLA support. Instructs activity managers in organizing and controlling all property items and maintaining an accurate Master Fixed Asset Listing (MFAL). Acts as liaison between FSS and Base Supply, Contracting, and DLA. Establishes and conducts annual property inventories, ensuring all items are properly labeled/marked and included on the MFAL. Provides managers with property labels annually for new and old property items. Reviews and coordinates on APF and NAF capital requirements budgets (NRB), all out-of-cycle NAF purchase requests and all five-year capital requirements to ensure proper fund source is used. Initiates property custodian paperwork and ensures new activity managers conduct a property inventory of all items. Reviews and processes all NAF property additions, adjustments, transfers and disposal forms prior to submitting to higher headquarters. Manages and coordinates with activity managers on items submitted to government liquidators for resale. Coordinates on items submitted for NAF Sales and oversees NAF Sales procedures. Coordinates all items turned into DLA. Maintains documents/pictures and details of items sold for audit purposes. Manages/monitors APF reports of survey and NAF inquiries and investigations. Collaborates with the Resource Advisor on APF Unfunded Requirement processes and ensures proper fund source is used. Appointed as Vehicle Control Officer (VCO) and focal point for vehicle support requirements for both APF and NAF vehicles. Records vehicles in vehicle management system (VMS) and maintains vehicle records in SAIS even if vehicle has zero value. Ensures vehicle maintenance and inspections are performed and documented. Prepares and maintains vehicle jacket folders for NAF/DLA vehicles per AFI/AFMAN. Conducts training to instruct FSS personnel on proper use, operations and safety aspects of vehicles assigned. Screens available vehicles in DLA channels and obtains those needed to meet FSS requirements. Reports and processes vehicle accidents and insurance claims according to AFI/AFMAN Guidance and 45 LRS policies. Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional and mission requirements.
