Responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
- Completes general clerk responsibilities for entering and maintaining a variety of data to include purchase order(s) management for merchandise in all MCX locations. Utilizes network computer with various software systems and applications to perform duties.
- Partners with vendors and supply chain to monitor shipping and receipt of merchandise and price files. Reports discrepancies to buying team and resolves them appropriately.
- Organizes and keeps merchandise style information updated for many items across multiple vendors and classifications.
- Follows up on negotiated support from vendors for cooperative advertising, freight concessions, displays, training, vendor provided in-store support, and any other allowances, as directed.
- Aids in preparation of advertising materials, coop forms, promotional calendars, and performs other related duties as needed in conjunction with corporate promotional events. Assists Buyer in planning vendor promotions events.
- Prepares reports and selling recaps on a periodic and regular basis, and/or upon request.
- Responds to routine emails, workflow tasks, calls and other inquiries.
- Effectively communicates with buying team, vendors, internal team(s) and store personnel. Performs general clerical duties as assigned.
- Manages high SKU counts, high volume of purchase orders, frequency and complex marketing events, and/or additional functions as needed to support buyer with no assistant buyer on the team.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EVALUATIONS:
Two years of experience in retail or a related field or work area preferred. Must have the ability to perform the required functions of the position.
Two years of experience with data entry, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft applications.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Ability to apply the mechanics of purchasing and common business practices.
Advanced knowledge of general clerical procedures, organizational skills, while maintaining a high level of accuracy in combination with balancing multiple tasks is required.
