Duties

Help
  • Provides staff guidance and supports the G6 in managing and directing the Contract functions for the regional organization requirements.
  • Leads strategic planning effort, reviews and recommends approval of strategic and operational plans, policies, programs and procedures.
  • Participates in USACE meetings and presents technical solutions as well as reporting performance matrices.
  • Apply an extensive knowledge of IM/IT methods, practices, and processes of planning, acquisition and management, engineering, installation, and negotiation disciplines.
  • Maintains and monitors contract budgets and programs for current and future requirements that affect command budget submissions.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Department of Defense to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify for the GS-14 one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in Information Technology (IT) Specialized experience is defined as: (1) Manages overall IT control, coordination, and execution of assigned AIS programs. (2) Displays familiarity with and understanding of program/project management, budget, cost control, resource estimating and risk management. (3) to serve as the primary point of contact for customers, and other external agencies on assigned IM/IT projects.:1) Attention to Detail, 2)Customer Service, 3) Oral Communication, and 4) Problem Solving.
