Duties

Help
  • You will serve as an Administrative Officer to the SWFPAC Chief Engineer, Deputy Chief Engineer, and the Technical Department at Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific (SWFPAC), Silverdale, Washington.
  • You will perform administrative management services in the areas of assigned programs, monitoring, annual fiscal planning (travel/training/equipment and materials procurement), and development of annual work plans.
  • You will conduct departmental studies and evaluations, utilization studies or portions of studies, as well as work simplification and measurement studies for procedural and relationship issues, to identify and develop improvements in efficiency.
  • You will apply conventional methods to gather, analyze, develop, and create alternative methods to draw conclusions and recommend appropriate action (resolution) of issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature.
  • You will assist management in preparing detailed plans, budgets, and/or schedules for departmental Training Programs.
  • You will assist supervisors and employees with individual development plans, determining course availability, regulatory compliance, cost effectiveness, applicability, and appropriate priority.
  • You will serve as Executive Secretary to Chief Engineer and Deputy Chief Engineer.
  • You will manage department procurement via Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and SharePoint to provide fiscal transparency of requested, completed, and remaining procurement requests.
  • You will establish and manage departmental publications and directives issuance guidelines regarding numbering, format, distribution, review, and expiration.

  • This is a Nuclear Deterrent Mission position.
  • This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-2 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-5 - GS-11.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at three (3) years of progressively responsible experience, one (1) year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4 grade level or pay band (NH-01) of general experience in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the ability to:

  1. Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions;
  2. Plan and organize work; and
  3. Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
