As a Supervisory Communications Specialist, you will be a leader and program expert in strategic communications. You will develop, direct, and manage communications as well as supervise the work of staff in several GSA regions.
Location of position: GSA, Office of Strategic Communication. Location will be in a GSA regional office and will be determined upon selection.

Facilitates the day-to-day operations of staff by identifying, coordinating, planning and directing strategic agency-wide communications activities and projects; resolving the myriad of issues, problems and difficulties that arise in the management of a comprehensive communication program; and ensuring that routine administrative activities are completed accurately and promptly.
Maintains contact with customers to monitor the quality of services provided, adjusting practices and procedures, as necessary, when service improvements are required.
Writes and edits highly professional materials, both internally and externally, related to all articles, web content, formal presentations, communication plans, media advisories, newsletters, handbooks, brochures, high-level correspondence, reports, policy, position papers, presentations, supporting visual presentation materials, video scripts, and other publications targeted at employee audiences.
Oversees operations and performs supervisory functions necessary to accomplish program objectives.
Provides leadership in coordinating needed special events. Ensures that all logistics and time frames are met, and that all necessary notifications are handled in conjunction with these events.

The GS-14 salary range starts at $124,531.00 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as managing and implementing a communication program, developing strategies for media relations, and, writing and editing professional materials for initiatives and programs.
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
Relocation-related expenses are not approved and will be your responsibility.
Travel expenses associated with interviews may be approved. Determinations will be made on a case-by-case basis.
On a case-by-case basis, the following incentives may be approved:
