Summary

Serves as the Business and Customer Services Office Chief in the Center Engagement and Business Integration Directorate. Responsible for overseeing and guiding key areas for the Directorate to include information business systems, business services and strategic planning function. This role entails leading executive services and event coordination for the Center Director and senior leadership, managing enterprise requirements integration, and spaceport engagement with external stakeholders.

Help
  • Oversee a team responsible for providing the Center governance framework to ensure policies, practices, and processes are established, integrated, assessed, and improved to meet Center needs.
  • Oversee the organization’s Business Objective Agreements (BOA) by capturing key organizational objectives and ensures compliance and alignment with Agency strategic direction.
  • Direct business services, including the oversight and execution of center-funded organizational requirements, to ensure resources are effectively utilized and all actions comply with organizational documentation, processes, and policies.
  • Oversee the support to the Center Director’s office with coordinating logistics for executive speaking engagements, including capturing and processing event details and working with the Center Director’s staff.
  • Responsible for the consolidation and integration of enterprise requirements into actionable, streamlined formats and ensures intra-Center coordination and integration of organizational activities.
  • Work with the office of communication to capture and effectively communicate Center unique activities that strengthen and foster two-way engagement with external stakeholders.
  • Perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:

  • Managing resources for projects/initiatives in one or more of the following areas: building relationships with internal/external stakeholders, coordinating events/engagements, or oversight and execution of organizational requirements;
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to build strategic relationships, providing strategic planning/management, or creating/managing a new initiative/task;
  • Analyzing and/or reviewing policies, practices, and processes and providing improvements/recommendations to align with Agency strategic direction or mission.
