  • Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
  • Support the Science Mission Directorate and Office of Procurement with all contracting management activities to include: Contractor Performance Assessment and Reporting System (CPARS), Data Requirement Deliverables (DRDs), Policy Compliance, etc.
  • Review and support contract performance (i.e., technical, cost, schedule and management) and performance metrics; Collaborate with various contracting officers, contract specialists, and CORs across multiple NASA Centers to support directorate needs.
  • Monitor cost and schedules and report findings to management and stakeholders.
  • Analyze and evaluate the performance of projects or programs, support decision making, and program execution.
  • Assist budget analysts with collecting and assessing data, conducting studies and/or trend analyses, performing strategic assessments, and reporting on analytical findings to recommend solutions to improve operations.
  • Support interagency offices working closely with stakeholders to include budget integration, cost tracking, and workforce planning.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:

  • Reviewing or supporting contract performance (ie technical, cost, schedule and management) and/or performance metrics to initiate corrective actions;
  • Reviewing contract management tasks such as task order formulation, implementation, contract/task order technical and schedule management, and configuration management;
  • Assisting with task order cost accruals, cost reporting, or budget formulation.

To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level:
  • Managing contract management tasks such as task formulation, implementation, contract/task order technical and schedule management, configuration management, project controls, financial management, and IT systems management;
  • Assisting budget analysts with collecting and assessing data, conducting studies and/or trend analyses, performing strategic assessments, and reporting on analytical findings to recommend solutions to improve operations;
  • Managing, maintaining, or overseeing contracts and/or monitoring contractor performance.
