Duties

Help

As a Supervisory IT Program Manager (APPSW), you will:

  • Coordinate and collaborate with Section 508 representatives across Treasury to ensure compliance with all relevant legislative policy and executive mandates.
  • Ensure that key 508 Compliance project outcomes and/or policy, advocacy, and legislation are regularly evaluated and leveraged for maximum community and organizational impact.
  • Develop the necessary systems, processes, and tools to better support the facilitation, collection, and sharing of 508 Compliance knowledge and maintains a Treasury-wide collaboration space.
  • Develop and maintain digital accessibility strategic roadmap and align that to agency-wide strategic planning and budget formulation efforts.
  • Provide consultation to, or participate in, agency capital planning or business case development and IT governance to ensure ICT activities appropriately integrate Section 508 compliance across the IT and acquisition lifecycles.

Key Requirements:

  • Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:

  • Oversight of program-level initiatives, including Section 508 accessibility standards; AND
  • Experience managing the implementation and maintenance of an integrated enterprise IT system; AND
  • Experience leading teams overseeing Section 508 Program electronic information technology and providing guidance and advice to senior leadership.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resumé.

In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed
below.
  1. Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
  2. Customer Service: Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
  3. Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
  4. Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
