Help
  • Provide expertise and support in overseeing the organization, tracking, and management of programs/projects/funding, administrative activities and functions; oversee functional programs, and ensure integration of all related elements and factors.
  • Work in accounting and financial systems; budget and funds management and execution; workforce planning and full cost analyses; institutional support; proposal evaluation and cost analyses; and budget development and justification.
  • Lead a team of resources analysts in support of a Division.
  • Provide advice and guidance related to business management for many different and unrelated program processes and methods.
  • Maintain surveillance over business systems to ensure maximum probability of program success and resolve requirements within or outside NASA which affect the business aspects of an organization.
  • Analyze unique management and business problems that arise and devise and execute effective solutions to these problems.
  • Serve as a senior financial advisor regarding major procurement activities and the status of funds.
  • Contribute to coordination of requests for additional resources, working closely with others to develop comprehensive short and long-range plans.

  • Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.


To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level:

  • Developing, justifying, and executing budgets that require interaction with performing Centers, Headquarters, and Mission Operations;
  • Evaluating complex project or programs that require interaction with performing Centers, Headquarters, and Mission Operations;
  • Providing financial advice, status reports, and guidance to division and branch level managers on business operations;
  • Monitoring expenditures, assessing the financial condition of projects, and sharing/communicating information with performing Centers, Headquarters, and Mission Operations to ensure cost-effective support of programs and policies.

APPOINTMENT TO THIS POSITION WILL BE TEMPORARY, NOT-TO-EXCEED ONE (1) YEAR. This assignment may be terminated, extended or made permanent at any time without further competition. If the assignment is not made permanent, the individual selected may be returned to the same or similar position from which they were promoted/detailed/temporarily reassigned.
