The next phase it will take one hour, at a minimum, to complete. As an Information Technology Specialist (Applications Software); you will:

  • Be responsible for working on agile, cross-functional teams with developers, testers, business analysts, and other stakeholders. Help the team plan and prioritize features, create user stories and tasks, and estimate effort. Must be comfortable with pairing, test-driven development, and emergent architecture.
  • Establish quality standards and guidance, to include practices and tools. Design software for testability and performs rigorous automated testing. Incorporates static analysis and performance monitoring.
  • Automate software builds, unit and functional test suites, database migrations, system configurations, and deployments in pursuit of a Continuous Delivery environment.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience: For the Band 60 (GS-14 equivalent) You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the Band 53 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as proven proficiency and supportable (as evidenced in the resume) experience in ALL of the following:
* Experience architecting, developing, and deploying Web based applications and data manipulation using PySpark; AND
* Experience integrating systems by creating or consuming web APIs in front-end web development technologies including: HTML5, CSS3, and JS frameworks; AND
* Experience administrating, configuring, operating and maintaining libraries in Anaconda for Python and/or R.


In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed
below.

  1. Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
  2. Customer Service: Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
  3. Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
  4. Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

THIS IS A TWO-PHASED PROCESS.

Category rating will be used to rank and select eligible candidates.
