The incumbent serves as a Grants Management Specialist and manages the extramural research compliance activities in the areas of grant policy issues related to foreign government interference, legislative and policy requirements that govern the functions of research misconduct and harassment allegations, and educational and instructional activities for grantees and NIH extramural staff to address compliance issues and ensure that appropriate corrective actions are implemented.

As a Grants Management Specialist, some of your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
You qualify at the GS-14 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements:
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: providing technical leadership to grants management specialists and managers; developing grants compliance policies, guidelines, procedures and internal controls; evaluating the impact of new or proposed legislation or policies on existing processes and grants compliance policies; providing advice to senior management officials regarding grants management compliance policies and procedures.
