As a Supervisory IT Specialist (Cybersecurity), you will serve in one of the following positions as a Director within the Office of Information Technology (IT); Cybersecurity and Privacy or Application Solutions divisions, supporting the USMMA in Kings Point, NY providing oversight and leadership of IT projects that enable program offices to successfully perform business functions and mission objectives. The Director, Office of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for overseeing all IT campus services, administrative, and educational systems which includes including policies, planning, development, implementation, and operations and maintenance. Provide oversight and leadership of IT projects that enable program offices to successfully perform business functions and mission objectives. The services include but not limited to network, data center, telecom, video teleconferencing, end-user applications both COTS and custom, desktops and disaster recovery. In addition, provide cyber security technology and initiatives support. A major component of this position is working with system owners to ensure that security assessments and authorizations and continuous monitoring activities are performed in a timely manner and consistent with DOT OCIO FITARA authorities, and other Federal requirements. Maintains a strong collaboration with DOT OCIO, other IT leaders within the department, and external partners to foster innovative technological solutions.
The Director, Cybersecurity and Privacy, performs a wide range of duties relating to Information Systems Security to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Information Technology Systems and applications and the information they process, generate, and contain. Develop short-term maintenance actions and long-range plans to optimize cybersecurity solutions to protect OST’s data and IT infrastructure in a manner that anticipates, identifies, evaluates, mitigates, and minimizes the risks associated with IT network, system, application, and other resource vulnerabilities. A major component of this position is working with system owners to ensure that security assessments and authorizations and continuous monitoring activities are performed in a timely manner and consistent with DOT OCIO FITARA authorities, and other Federal requirements.
The Director, Application Solutions has responsibility for managing, leading and planning activities as they relate to IT applications, programs, procurement actions and requirements, and projects. In addition, the Director, Application Solutions will work to streamline administration and project activities with strategic goals aligning to the IT strategic and cybersecurity plans and serves as a liaison to advance cross-functional processes that impact business and projects. This includes complying with DOT OCIO FITARA authorities and other Federal requirements including, but not limited to IT budget and IT spend plan processes.
OST is looking for a seasoned leader, a motivated self-starter who is experienced in the analysis and formulation of broad program, technical, and administrative policies and procedures needed for strategic planning, executing, and deploying various IT products and services. Develops strategic, long-range, and tactical plans to accomplish the mission, strategic goals, and corporate management strategies. This includes complying with DOT OCIO FITARA authorities and other Federal requirements including, but not limited to IT budget and IT spend plan processes.
